Smoothies are an easy way to get more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Here are a few of our favorite combinations to get you started.
1. Black and Blueberry
Combine orange juice, fresh blueberries, fresh blackberries, a spoonful of low-fat vanilla yogurt, and a handful of ice. If desired, garnish with fresh mint.
2. Blue-Green Machine
Combine low-fat milk, fresh or frozen blueberries, a handful of fresh spinach, a drizzle of honey, and a handful of ice. Blend until smooth.
3. Raspberry Rumble
Blend together low-fat milk, fresh raspberries, frozen banana slices, and ice.
4. Strawberry-Banana Blast
In a blender, mix milk, sliced fresh strawberries, frozen banana slices, chia seeds, peanut butter, and ice.
5. Green Goddess
Blend together orange juice, milk, fresh spinach, baby kale, frozen banana slices, and a handful of ice.
