Think of your diaper bag as your baby nursery's mobile unit. Stock it well with all the things you and your baby need to be prepared when you're out and about—inevitable hunger pangs, diaper blowouts, and all.

- Diaper cream
- Changing pad
- Burp cloth
- Light blanket/nursing cover
- Nursing pads
- Sun hat
- Bottle and single-portion formula
- Pacifier or two
- Favorite toy
- Granola bars, nuts, or other energy-building snacks for Mom
- Change of dry clothes for baby
- Plastic bags for dirty diapers and/or soiled clothes
- Bibs
- Sunscreen
- Thermometer
- Bug spray
- Any medications (if needed)
