Why is breakfast so important?
Start your day right.
Breakfast brings an opportunity to start the day on the right foot, with important nutrients that provide energy for the day's tasks. Having more energy could mean you're more likely to be physically active, whether it's taking the stairs at work, hitting the gym, or enjoying a walk or jog.
Don’t skip.
In the past, some studies suggested that eating breakfast might promote weight loss, while skipping a morning meal might lead to weight gain. A new review has confirmed that skipping breakfast may increase your risk of becoming overweight or obese.1 Skipping breakfast may cause you to have a bigger appetite and eat more over the course of the day. A balanced breakfast that includes carbs, protein, and fat may help prevent overeating.2
