What does organic mean?
Items bearing the USDA Organic seal are different from their conventional counterparts. They must meet all USDA Organic regulations, including certification by a USDA National Organic Program–authorized agent. Organic regulations require that any land used to produce organic items has not had prohibited substances applied to it for three years leading up to the crops’ harvest.
