Trick-or-treating is a tasty tradition, but we understand that as a parent, you may have the urge to introduce an apple into your kids’ post-Halloween snacking. Good news—Crafty Crunch Apples offer the best of both worlds, and they’re fun to make!

Ingredients:
- 1 (12-oz) bag soft caramels
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Parchment paper
- Cooking spray
- 6 small apples
- 6 (6-inch) bamboo skewers (or ice pop sticks)
- Toppings (optional)
Steps:
- Place caramels and milk in microwave-safe bowl; microwave on HIGH for 2–3 minutes, stirring halfway through cook time, or until completely melted. Allow to cool briefly.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and coat with spray. Remove stems from apple; pierce with skewers and dip into caramel until evenly coated. Press toppings into caramel, if desired. Place caramel apples on baking sheet; chill 1 hour before serving.
Note: Popular caramel apple toppings include chocolate chips, crushed candy, chopped nuts, sprinkles, and dried fruit.
