Ingredients
- 1 (6 oz) box Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing Mix
- 2 cups water, divided
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 (14 oz) can jellied cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic stir-in paste
- 2 teaspoons Tabasco Sriracha Sauce
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons Sweet Baby Ray's Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon fresh-cracked black pepper
- Cooking spray
- ½ cup refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives
- 8 oz shredded roasted turkey
- 1 (12 oz) jar Heinz Homestyle Roasted Turkey Gravy
Steps
- Prepare stuffing mix following package boil instructions (using 1 ½ cups water and butter). Chill until ready to use.
- Remove seeds and membranes from chili, then chop finely (wash hands). Combine in medium saucepan: chilies, cranberry sauce, garlic paste, sriracha sauce, maple syrup, hot sauce, remaining ½ cup water, salt, and pepper. Bring to simmer on medium-high; cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Reduce heat to low and keep warm.
- Coat plates of round waffle iron with spray; preheat following manufacturer's instructions. Combine stuffing and mashed potatoes until blended; form into 2 waffle-sized rounds. Place 1 stuffing round in iron; close and cook 9–10 minutes until crispy and heated through. Repeat with remaining stuffing round.
- Meanwhile, slice chives thinly. Combine turkey and gravy in small saucepan. Bring to a simmer on medium, stirring occasionally, until 165°F. Cut cooked waffles into quarters, top with turkey and gravy. Drizzle with warm cranberry syrup and garnish with chives. Serve.
