Ingredients
- 1 small, fresh jalapeño
- Sugar (optional for rim)
- 8 watermelon chunks
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz agave nectar
- 1 oz lime juice
- Watermelon wedge (optional for garnish)
Steps
- Slice jalapeño into rings, removing seeds and membranes, if desired. Dampen rim of highball glass and dip into sugar, if using; fill glass with ice.
- Muddle watermelon chunks and a few jalapeño slices in cocktail shaker. (Vary amount of jalapeño to taste.)
- Add ice, tequila, agave, and lime juice to shaker. Shake well; strain into prepared glass. Garnish with watermelon wedge, if desired.
Other Preparation Methods
Dew what you like.
Substitute honeydew for the watermelon and melon liqueur for the agave; garnish with honeydew slice.
How about a watermelon margarita?
Omit jalapeño, substitute triple sec for the agave, and use an additional 1 oz lime juice. Shake and strain into an ice-filled, salt- or sugar-rimmed highball glass.
