Ingredients

  • 1 medium sweet onion
  • 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck
  • 1 Hass avocado
  • 2 plum tomatoes
  • 12 Bakery dinner rolls
  • ¼ cup salsa con queso dip

Steps

    1. Grate onion into medium bowl (about 1 cup). Add taco seasoning and ground chuck; mix to blend. Shape meat into 12 ½-inch-thick patties (wash hands).
    2. Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Add patties; cook 3–4 minutes on each side until browned and 165°F. Halve avocado, remove pit and flesh with spoon, and slice flesh; slice tomatoes thinly.
    3. Slice rolls for buns. Place in each bun: 1 beef patty, 1 slice tomato, 1 slice avocado, and 1 teaspoon dip. Serve.
