Ingredients
- 6 basil leaves, chopped
- zest and juice of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 2 lb crab legs
Steps
- Chop basil leaves finely. Grate/zest lemon (no white ½ teaspoon) and juice (1 tablespoon) . Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in basil, zest, and juice.
- Place crab legs in a steamer basket in a stockpot. If necessary, bend crab legs at joints to fit in steamer basket. Add water to pan to just below the basket. Bring to a boil. Cover; steam 5-6 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- To remove the meat, twist legs at joints or split shell using kitchen shears. Peel back shell; remove meat. Serve with butter sauce
