Sparkling Pinot Punch with Pomegranate Seed Ice Cubes

Ingredients
- 1 (4.4 oz) container pomegranate arils
- 2 cups pomegranate (or cranberry-pomegranate) juice
- 1 ½ cups pinot noir (or other dry red wine)
- 1 cup spiced apple cider
- ½ cup Deli lemonade
- 1 lemon, for slices
- 1 (750 mL) bottle champagne (or sparkling wine)
Steps
- Divide pomegranate arils among wells of 2 ice cube trays. Fill wells with water and freeze until cubes are solid (about 3 hours). Meanwhile, chill remaining ingredients.
- Combine pomegranate juice, wine, cider, and lemonade in punch bowl; stir until blended. Slice lemon thinly
- Add champagne just before serving, but do not stir. Add pomegranate ice cubes and lemon slices. Ladle into punch glasses and serve immediately.
Other Preparation Methods
Turn up the berry and bubbly flavor.
Substitute blackberry or raspberry lemonade for the traditional lemonade and prosecco for the champagne.
