Seasoned Grilled Swordfish

Ingredients

  • ½ lemon, for juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 4 (6 oz, ¾-inch-thick) swordfish steaks (about 1 ½ lb)
  • 1 teaspoon Greek seasoning

Steps

    1. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Juice lemon half (1 tablespoon). Combine olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic in medium bowl; reserve half. Season fish with Greek seasoning and coat with remaining half oil mixture.
    2. Grill fish 5–6 minutes on each side until centers of fillets flake easily and are 145°F. Brush with reserved oil mixture; serve.
    Note: Always check fish for bones.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Broil: Preheat oven to broil on HIGH. Season 4 (6 oz, ¾-inch thick) swordfish steaks (about 1 ½ lb) with 1 tablespoon garlic-herb seasoning. Arrange fish on baking sheet (wash hands); broil 4–5 minutes until centers of fillets flake easily and are 145°F.
    • Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange 4 (6 oz, ¾-inch thick) swordfish steaks (about 1 ½ lb) in lightly oiled baking dish (wash hands); season with 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning. Bake 12–14 minutes until centers of fillets flake easily and are 145°F.
