Ingredients
- 1 can black beans (15–16 oz)
- 1 (15.5 oz) can cannellini (or great northern) beans
- 2 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 (16 oz) cans chili beans
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
Steps
- Preheat large stockpot on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Drain and rinse black beans and cannellini beans. Place ground beef in pot; brown 4–5 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, until no pink remains and beef is 160°F. Drain, then return beef to pot.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add to pot: black beans, cannellini beans, crushed tomatoes, chili beans (do not drain), tomato sauce, and chili powder; stir to combine. Cover and simmer 20 minutes; serve.
