Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 large fresh ripe (or frozen) peaches (about 5 cups)
- Cooking spray
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts
- Ice cream (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut butter into small pieces; place in medium bowl to soften slightly. Peel peaches (is desired), then halve, remove pit, and coarsely chop.
- Coat 2-quart baking dish with spray; spread peaches evenly in dish. Add remaining ingredients to butter; combine with fingertips until blended and crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over peaches.
- Bake 35–40 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping has browned. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
