Parmesan Salad Bowls
4 servings
20 minutes total

Ingredients

  • Parchment paper
  • 8 oz Deli Parmigiano-Reggiano wedge, grated (about 2 cups)
  • 1 (10-oz) bag Caesar salad kit

Steps

    1. Cover a large microwave-safe plate with a piece of parchment paper. Add ½ cup grated cheese to center of paper; spread evenly in a circle. Microwave on HIGH for 2–3 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly golden over most of the surface.
    2. Flip paper over immediately, cheese-side down, when centered over top of an inverted bowl (6-inch diameter at rim). Place another bowl over cheese to form cheese into bowl shape. Repeat with remaining cheese.
    3. Let each bowl cool 1–2 minutes. Remove top bowl and peel paper off cheese, then fill with salad.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Extra Flavor: Place Parmesan rind in soup while simmering for an added nutty, cheesy flavor. If any rind remains, remove before consuming soup.
When making grilled cheese, grate Parmesan and sprinkle over buttered crust for extra cheese flavor.
