Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz) jar Italian mix giardiniera (pickled vegetables)
- 1 (5.75 oz) jar sliced, stuffed green olives
- 1 cup chunky medium salsa
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 hot dog buns
- 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
- ¼ cup submarine dressing
Steps
- Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium. Drain giardiniera and olives well. Chop giardiniera (if desired). Combine giardiniera, olives, salsa, and pepper.
- Place hot dogs on grill; cook 4–5 minutes, turning often, until grill-marked and 165°F. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on inside of each bun.
- Place buns, mayonnaise-side down, on grill; cook 1–2 minutes until toasted, then fill evenly with cheese. Place hot dogs in buns; top each with ¼ cup vegetable relish and 1 tablespoon submarine dressing. (Serve remaining relish with chips or crackers.) Serve.
