Mint Chip-Shot Protein Shakes

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe Hass avocado
  • ⅓ cup baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla whey protein powder (optional)
  • 8 oz low-fat vanilla milk
  • ½ cup low-fat vanilla kefir (or yogurt)
  • 1 cup ice
  • ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ½ oz dark chocolate

Steps

    1. Halve avocado and discard pit; scoop out flesh and cut into chunks. Add to blender: avocado, spinach, whey powder (if using), milk, kefir, ice, and extract; blend until smooth.
    2. Chop chocolate. Divide shake between 2 large glasses; top with chocolate. Serve.
    Chef's Tip: Divide into 4 servings for a snack or dessert.
