Ingredients
- 2 cups 3-color coleslaw mix
- ¼ cup lemon vinaigrette
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup roasted red peppers, coarsely chopped
- 1 ½ lb ground beef chuck
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup french-fried onions
- Cooking spray
- ½ cup sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
Steps
- Preheat grill (or grill pan). Combine coleslaw, vinaigrette, and salt until blended; set aside. Chop peppers.
- Combine ground beef, cheese, onions, and peppers until blended. Form meat into four patties (wash hands). Coat patties on both sides with spray and place on grill; grill 4–5 minutes on each side and until burgers are 160°F.
- Spread 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce on inside of bun halves. Place burgers on bottom halves of buns; top each with ½ cup coleslaw and top half of bun. Serve.
