Italian-Style Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • 0.5 oz fresh basil
  • ¼ cup sun-dried tomato pesto
  • 4 large spinach (or sun-dried tomato) wraps
  • 12 thin slices prosciutto
  • 12 thin slices Deli smoked turkey breast
  • 24 grape tomatoes
  • 24 toothpicks

Steps

    1. Set cream cheese out to soften. Juice lemon half (1 tablespoon). Separate lettuce leaves; remove basil leaves from stems (½ cup). Combine cream cheese, pesto, and lemon juice in large bowl until blended.
    2. Arrange wraps on work surface and spread cream cheese mixture evenly across each wrap. Layer wraps in this order: lettuce, prosciutto, basil, and turkey. Roll wraps up tightly, then trim 1 inch from each end.
    3. Skewer tomatoes on toothpicks, insert 6 tomato picks into each wrap, and slice each wrap into 6 pieces. Arrange pinwheels cut-side-up on platter; serve.
