Italian-Style Beef in Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 3 lb boneless chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 (12 oz) jar roasted red peppers
- 1 (12 oz) jar banana pepper rings
- 1 ½ cups diced frozen onions
- 2 cups tomato-basil pasta sauce
- 8 Bakery Chicago hard rolls
Steps
- Preheat slow cooker on HIGH. Trim excess fat from meat, then place in slow cooker (wash hands). Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic.
- Drain both jars of peppers. Add peppers, onions, and pasta sauce to slow cooker. Reduce heat to LOW, cover, and cook 8–9 hours (or up to 12 hours) until beef is 195°F (for shreddable).
- Spoon off any excess fat. Shred beef with 2 forks in slow cooker; serve on rolls.
French Fries

- 16 oz frozen crinkle-cut french fries
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Spread fries in single layer on baking sheet; sprinkle with seasoned salt.
- Bake 17–20 minutes, flipping halfway through cook time, until golden and crisp. Serve.
Serving Suggestions
- Complete your meal with fresh salad blend, mozzarella cheese slices for the sandwiches, and assorted cookies for dessert.
- You could also serve the beef in small rolls for a great appetizer or tailgating option.
