Hot Turkey and Cheese Slime-Time Sliders

Ingredients
  • Cooking spray
  • 12 potato (or dinner) rolls
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes
  • 12 slices cooked bacon
  • 9 oz sliced roasted turkey (about 24 slices)
  • 12 slices cracker-cut sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup processed cheese spread
  • ½ teaspoon green gel food coloring
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • Aluminum foil
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat 13- x 9-inch baking dish with spray. Cut rolls in half for buns and separate. Cut tomatoes into 12 equal slices Cook bacon until crisp following package instructions, then cut in half.
  2. Arrange bottom halves of rolls side by side in center of baking dish, forming a rectangle. Top evenly with turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. Combine cheese spread and food coloring. Spread mixture on top halves of rolls and arrange on sliders.
  3. Melt butter; whisk in mustard, worcestershire sauce, pepper, and poppy seeds, if using. Drizzle mixture evenly over sliders and cover baking dish with foil. Let stand 10 minutes before baking.
  4. Bake 20 minutes. Remove foil, bake 5–8 more minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted. Let stand to cool 5 minutes before serving.
Chef's Tip: Omit green food coloring for tasty party sliders any time of year.
