Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 (9 oz) package refrigerated fettuccine pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 cup half-and-half
- ½ cup shredded Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheese blend
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
Steps
- Combine water and pasta in microwave-safe bowl; cover and microwave on HIGH 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in large sauté pan on medium-high. Combine cornstarch and half-and-half in small bowl until blended and smooth. Stir into melted butter and bring to a full boil, whisking frequently.
- Stir pasta to loosen noodles; cover and microwave 1 more minute or until pasta is tender.
- Remove pan from heat and whisk in cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth. Drain pasta thoroughly and stir into sauce until blended. Serve.
