Ingredients

  • 4 lemons, for juice (½ cup)
  • 1 gallon cool water
  • 2 lb Gala apples (about 5 apples)

Steps

    1. Squeeze lemons for juice (½ cup). Combine in large mixing bowl: water and lemon juice.
    2. Core apples and slice ⅛-inch thick. Add slices to bowl with lemon water and soak 10 minutes.
    3. Drain apple slices and arrange on food dehydrator, spacing evenly. Dehydrate according to manufactures instructions.
    TIP: apples can be substituted with pears, Asian pears, and other apple varieties.
