Ingredients
- 1 orange slice candy
- 4 oz cream cheese
- Parchment paper
- 18 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 (10 oz) bag white melting wafers
- ¼ teaspoon yellow gel food color
- 40 mini semisweet chocolate morsels
Steps
- Chill orange slice candy. Cube cream cheese and place in medium bowl to soften; line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place cookies in bowl or food processor; pulse until finely crushed.
- Add cream cheese to cookie crumbs and pulse until thoroughly blended. Scoop (or form) cookie mixture into 20 (1-inch) round truffles. Arrange on prepared baking sheet; chill 20 minutes. Cut orange candy into 3 long slices, then cut each slice into 3 long strips. Cut very small triangles out of each strip (for beaks).
- Melt wafers following package instructions; stir in food color until pale yellow. Dip 1 truffle into melted coating until covered (letting excess drip off), then place on baking sheet. Decorate truffle with candy triangle for beak and chocolate morsels for eyes before coating sets. Repeat with remaining truffles. Chill until ready to serve.
