Ingredients

  • ½ head savoy cabbage
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Steps

    1. Halve the cabbage and then cut one of the halves into four wedges through the core (leaving core intact).
    2. Heat the oil in large sauté pan on medium-high. Add the cabbage. Sear the cabbage to a deep golden brown on each face, then season with salt and pepper.
    3. Add ¼ cup water and cover; reduce heat to medium-low and cook 3–5 minutes, turning once, or until tender.
