Ingredients

  • ¼ jalapeño pepper (+ additional, optional for garnish)
  • 1 ½ oz bourbon
  • 3 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 ½ oz simple syrup
  • ½ oz dry vermouth
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • Lime wheel (optional for garnish)

Steps

    1. Slice jalapeño, removing membranes and seeds if desired. Muddle a few pepper slices and bourbon in cocktail shaker. (Vary amount of jalapeño to taste.)
    2. Add ice, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, vermouth, and lime juice. Shake well; strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
    3. Garnish with additional jalapeño and lime wheel, if desired.
