Ingredients

  • 5 fresh blueberries (+ additional, optional for garnish)
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1–2 oz pinot noir

Steps

    1. Muddle blueberries in cocktail shaker.
    2. Add ice, vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake well; strain into an ice-filled old fashioned glass.
    3. Float wine over drink.*
    4. Garnish with blueberries, if desired.
    * To float wine, set spoon at a 45° angle, barely placed inside drink, with back of spoon facing away from drink. Place finger slightly over opening of wine bottle and pour wine slowly onto back of spoon, letting it drizzle onto surface of drink.

Other Preparation Methods

      Make it a blackberry sour.
      Substitute blackberries for the blueberries and sour mix for the lemon juice and simple syrup.
