Est. 1983. Our three estate vineyards are located on the iron rich volcanic slopes and sedimentary seabeds of the Willamette Valley Appellation. Each of these three sites reflect a distinct sense of place that blend to create a Pinot Noir with wonderful perfume, richness of mouthfeel, complexity and balance. - Jim Bernau, Founder/Winegrower. - Joe Ibrahim, Winemaker. This high quality is gently made and may have some sediment, please carefully pour or decant. Technical: Pinot Noir Clones: Dijon 113, 114, 115, 667, 777 Pommard and Wadenswil. Soil Type: Jory (iron rich volcanic), Nekia (shallow, iron rich volcanic), Laurelwood (windblown, glacial loess), including Pisolites and Missoula Flood sediment. Barrel Regiment: 10 months in French Oak, 10% new, 90% neutral. Barrels Produced: 540. Harvest: September 10 - October 19, 2020. Brix at Harvest: 23.4 degrees. Peak Drinkability: 2022-2028.
