Always follow guidelines on canning lids and bands. Prepare Your Lids: Lids are for one time use only. Wash lids in hot, soapy water. Rinse well. Set lids aside until ready to use. Use Your Lids: Fill jars according to your recipe instructions. Wipe any rood from the rims of the jar. Center new lids or jars. (It is recommended to clean rims with white vinegar). Apply bands and adjust until fit is fingertip tight. Check The Seal: After processing, allow jars to cool for 12 to 24 hours. Lid should not flex up and down when pressed. Store sealed jars in pantry for up to 18 months.
