Product details A delicious blend of honey oat granola, crunchy cereals, sweet blueberries, chocolate chunks and Mountain Jim's Smoky Mountain Pecans. Original recipes. As kids, we would go hiking through the woods on our family farm for hours. We would fill a small bag with what we called Gorp - Good Ol Raisins and Peanuts. It kept us from being hungry most of the afternoon. Today it's called trail mix. I was hiking with my son and his buddies, and I had made a snack bag for us. He shared it with his friends, and as the hike progressed, his friends kept dropping back in line to get a handful. My son watched this, and towards the end of the hike, said, You know, Dad. So here it is - Mountain Jim's Gorp. Crunchy honey oat granola, crisp cereal flakes, delicious dried blueberries, chocolate chunks and Mountain Jim's own Smoky Mountain Pecans. No raisins or peanuts, but we had to keep the name - it's just cool. Did’ja Know? Trail mix was eaten by Native Americans for thousands of years, and originally included bison meat. (Jerky was another Native American trail food)! Thank you, Rosie & Butch. Thank you Mrs. Pauls. Single Dad owned company. mtnjims.com. Handcrafted in Nashville, Tennessee.
