To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. Cooking Directions on the Stove: 1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water.Rice: 1 cup; Water: 2-1/4 cups; Yield: 3 cups; Serving (3/4 cup cooked): 4. Rice: 2 cups; Water: 4-1/2 cups; Yield: 6 cups; Serving (3/4 cup cooked): 8. Rice: 3 cups; Water: 6-3/4 cups; Yield: 9 cups; Serving (3/4 cup cooked): 12). 2. Stir in rice (Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes or until all water is disabled. Cooking Directions in the Microwave (It is recommended that only 1 cup ri ce be prepared in the microwave at a time.
