Cooking Directions. Stove Top: 1. Cut the pouch open and combine rice and water in a saucepan. 2. Bring to a full boil, reduce heat (medium-low to medium) and simmer covered 10 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. Let stand covered 5 minutes until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve. Alternate Cook Method: Microwave: 1. Cut the pouch open and combine rice and water in a 2-qt. Microwave-safe glass dish. 2. Cover tightly with microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap and cook on high for 12-15 minutes until water is absorbed. 3. Fluff with fork and serve. Product will be hot (Caution - be careful when removing cover). Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Adjust cooking time as needed. Measurements: Serving (cups of cooked rice): 2; 1/2 rice (cups); 1 water (cups). Serving (cups of cooked rice): 4; 1 rice (cups); 1-3/4 water (cups). Serving (cups of cooked rice): 6; 1-1/2 rice (cups); 2-1/2 water (cups). Serving (cups of cooked rice): 8; whole box rice (cups); 3-1/4 water (cups). For Best Results: For firmer rice, use less water and reduce cooking time. For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time.
