For alkaline water. Cleans softener resin bed. Maintains balanced pH. Restores efficiency. Read entire label before using this product. Tan-X is specifically formulated to effectively lower pH. Tan-X will remove iron, tannins and other build-up from fouled water softeners, increasing capacity and efficiency of the unit, as a general purpose cleaner, and to remove hard water deposits on household items. Product settles. Sold by weight not volume. Safe for septic tanks, contains no phosphates.

Caution: Skin and eye irritant. Keep out of the reach of children. Read carefully other cautions on back panel. Contains citric acid. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Wear hand, skin and eye protection. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Do not mix with any other products. Store in a cool, dry place. Disposal: rinse empty container with water, seal and discard. First aid: for all exposures, get medical advice immediately. Inhalation: move exposed person to fresh air at once. Ingestion: do not induce vomiting! Rinse mouth thoroughly with water and give large amounts of milk or water to people not unconscious. Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with soap and water. Eye contact: Make sure to remove any contact lenses form eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes.

Instructions for Use: Water Softeners: Tannin units - Sprinkle in 16 oz. with each 80 lbs. of salt or as directed by dealer. Iron fouled units - As needed dissolve 8 oz. or more in a qt. of warm water, add to salt tank, regenerate softener. Ice machines home units - Mix 4 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water. Commercial units - Mix 6 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water. Coffee makers - Add 1 tablespoon of tan-x to every 10 cup capacity of maker. Mix with warm water, pour into maker and let stand for 5 minutes. Run maker, then rinse with clean water 3 times. Dishwashers - Add 4 oz. of Tan-X instead of detergent. Run washer thru normal cycle with machine empty. Repeat for heavy deposits.
