General Terms and Conditions


Publix Super Markets, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively “Publix”) provide the capability for customers to make digital purchases for certain product lines (“Online Purchases”) whether in store or at a remote location, subject to these Terms and Conditions for Online Purchases and the general Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy of Publix located at https://www.publix.com/publix-website-policies (collectively the “Terms and Conditions”).

Payment for Online Purchases can be made by different payment methods such as physical or digital gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay (if applicable) or flexible spending accounts where applicable for the Publix Pharmacy using Pharmacy Prepay) (collectively “Cards”). Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express issued in the United States or Canada are currently accepted. Cash, personal checks, cashier’s/certified check, money orders, or any other forms of payment not specified in these Terms and Conditions are not accepted for Online Purchases. Publix reserves the right to add new payment methods or to remove payment methods without prior notice. With the exception of Pharmacy Prepay, your Cards will be billed when you submit your order. Submission of your order constitutes only an offer by you to make an Online Purchase, and Publix reserves the right to accept or reject your offer. Acceptance of an offer occurs when Publix accepts your order and your Cards are successfully billed. You will be presented with an online confirmation page. For select Online Purchases, you will also be sent a confirmation email to the email address provided as part of your order. Please print or save the order confirmation page and/or the order confirmation email for your records.

All information submitted by you for an Online Purchase, including any registration or billing information, must be truthful and accurate. By placing an order for an Online Purchase, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, do not place an order for an Online Purchase. Publix reserves the right to amend or discontinue any product line, program, and the Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion. By continuing to make Online Purchases following such amendment, you agree to be bound by such amendments. You should periodically visit this page to review the most current Terms and Conditions.

Gift Card Sales


By purchasing or using Publix gift cards (“Gift Cards”), you certify and represent that the Gift Cards will be used in compliance with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and that the Gift Cards will not be used in any manner that is misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, unfair, or otherwise harmful to consumers. You also agree to defend and indemnify Publix from and against any claims, expenses, or liabilities made against or incurred by Publix in connection with your purchase or use of the Gift Cards in violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Gift Cards may be used at any Publix location and for Online Purchases of merchandise. You may not: (i) resell Gift Card(s); (ii) redeem your Gift Card(s) for cash; (iii) return merchandise or cancel services obtained with the Gift Card for a cash refund; (iv) use your Gift Card for the purchase of money services, including but not limited to money orders, money transfers, or gift cards; or (v) use your Gift Card(s) to purchase lottery tickets. You may add value to your Gift Card at any Publix location during regular business hours. Gift Cards with a zero balance for one hundred and eighty (180) days or more will be deactivated. Publix is not responsible for, and will not replace, lost, stolen, or damaged cards, and is not responsible for any unauthorized Gift Card use. You are responsible for any amounts in excess of the value remaining on the Gift Card at the time of purchase. Gift Card prices do not include any sales, use, privilege, excise, or any other tax, duty, tariff, or assessment that may arise, and payment of any such tax, tariff or assessments are your responsibility.

If you have selected Gift Cards for payment in association with Online Purchases, we will charge those first for eligible items. If you have selected a debit card, credit card, or Apple Pay for payment in association with Online Purchases, we will charge the selected debit card or credit card up to the total purchase amount plus tax minus the amounts charged to and available on any Gift Cards charged for eligible items. Gift Card balances reported on the Publix website or mobile applications may not reflect the current available balance.

Gift Cards may not be used in connection with any marketing, advertising, or other promotional activities without the prior written approval of Publix, which may be withheld by Publix in its sole discretion, and execution and compliance with a Gift Card license agreement between you and Publix. Use of the Publix name, logo, trade dress (including any image or likeness of the cards), or trademarks in connection with the purchase or use of Gift Cards is strictly prohibited. Use of the Gift Cards in any manner that states or implies any person, website, business, product, or service is endorsed or sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with Publix is prohibited.

Gift Cards that are not used or remain dormant for an extended period of time may be deemed unclaimed or abandoned property in certain States, and become subject to escheatment or unclaimed property laws of those States.

All Gift Cards purchased through the Publix website are deemed purchased in and issued from the State of Florida. Unless otherwise agreed to by Publix, all orders for Gift Cards will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail, Federal Express, or UPS to the shipping address in your order, and you should expect them to be delivered in 2 – 5 business days. Risk of loss and title will pass to you upon delivery of the Gift Card(s) to the shipper, and you will bear the risk of delay and increased costs of shipping. With the exception of Canada, Publix cannot accept orders with a billing or shipping address outside of the United States.

Orders for In-Store Pickup


Certain Online Purchases may be picked up at your local Publix store (hereafter “Orders for In-Store Pickup”).

Cancellations and Refunds

If you are a Publix.com member and placed an Order for In-Store Pickup through your account, you may be able to cancel that order online. Orders for In-Store Pickup requiring a notice period for fulfilment can be canceled online if outside of that notice period (e.g., an order that requires 24 hours advance notice to Publix can only be canceled if it is more than 24 hours from your scheduled pickup time). Orders for In-Store Pickup for same day items can be canceled online if it is more than two (2) hours from your scheduled pickup time. Please log-in to your Publix.com account and go to your Order History page to determine if your Order for In-Store Pickup can be canceled online. Only entire Orders for In-Store Pickup can be canceled online through your Publix.com account; individual items in a multiple item order cannot be canceled online.

For additional information about cancellations, including about cancelling Orders for In-Store Pickup not placed through your Publix.com account and individual items in an Order for In-Store Pickup, please contact the Publix store at which your order was placed.

The purchase amount for canceled or refunded Orders for In-Store Pickup will be returned to the Cards used to place the order. Canceled or refunded orders placed using a promotion will be refunded the purchase amount and not the regular retail price of the item. Additional Charges

Certain items may permit you to include special requests for your Order for In-Store Pickup, and certain special requests may result in additional charges that are not in your order summary (“Upcharges”). If you have any questions about Upcharges, or if your special request will result in an Upcharge, please contact the store at which you are placing your Order for In-Store Pickup.

Pharmacy Prepay


At select Publix pharmacies, you may be able to pay for an online prescription order (“Pharmacy Order”). When you place a Pharmacy Order at an eligible Publix Pharmacy, a hold will be placed on your Card for the full amount of your Pharmacy Order. Your Cards will not be charged until your Pharmacy Order is picked up in store. You will receive confirmation once your Pharmacy Order has been placed, and you can also find details of your Pharmacy Order in the Online Purchase History in your account.

Cancellations

If you do not pick up your Pharmacy Order within seven (7) days, the order will automatically be canceled and the hold will be removed from your Cards. You will be notified in your pharmacy account if your Pharmacy Order is canceled and may have the opportunity to resubmit the same order. You may also be able to pick up and pay for your prescription in-store. Pharmacy Orders can otherwise be canceled only by contacting the pharmacy at which the order is being filled.
