Pomegranate Ginger Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 (750-ml) bottle Syrah red wine blend (like Smoking Loon Red Loonitic)
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz fresh ginger root (½ cup), coarsely chopped
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tablespoons orange blossom honey
  • 2 apples, thinly sliced

Steps

    1. Stir together in large pitcher: wine, pomegranate juice, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and honey until blended.
    2. Cover and chill 3 hours (or overnight).
    3. Place 3–5 apple slices in ice-filled glasses. Add sangria and stir gently before serving.
