Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz) ¾-inch-thick tuna steaks, about 1 ½ lb
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup teriyaki marinade and sauce
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Steps
- Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Brush fish with oil and place on grill (wash hands); grill 1–2 minutes on each side (for medium-rare) until seared.
- Brush with teriyaki sauce and season with pepper. Serve.
Other Preparation Methods
- Sauté: Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high. Season 4 (¾-inch-thick) tuna steaks, about 1 ½ lb, with salt and pepper, then coat with sesame seeds. Place 1 tablespoon olive oil in pan, then add tuna; cook 2–3 minutes on each side until seared and 125°F (for medium-rare).
- Broil: Preheat oven to broil. Season 4 (¾-inch-thick) tuna steaks, about 1 ½ lb, with 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning; arrange on baking sheet. Broil 2–3 minutes on each side until seared and 125°F (for medium-rare).
