Publix Launches Event Planning Web site
LAKELAND, Fla., Nov. 19, 2007 - Planning parties and family gatherings for the holidays just got a little easier as Publix Super Markets launched its new online event planning Web site, www.publix.com/entertaining.
The Web site offers suggestions for planning a variety of events, from a small intimate gathering to a grand wedding. Four main sections are offered:
-
Party Basics - a step-by-step guide on planning a party, from selecting the invitations to proposing a toast.
-
Plan an Event & Menu - party themes and suggested menus, decorations and related activities. The interactive My Planning List allows customers to create and save their menus and plans. The printed list can be given to the store to place the order or used as a guide when calling in the order.
-
Plan a Menu - displays all products by serving course. Prepare a shopping list for selected appetizers, main courses, sides and desserts.
-
Apron's Event Planning - a premier in-store service available at select Publix stores. Customers can meet with an event planning specialist for a personal consultation, place their event order, allow Publix to shop for them, and pick up their order, all in one convenient stop. Publix stores offering event planning desks are Alpharetta Commons, Alpharetta, Ga.; Publix at San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fla.; University Walk, Sarasota, Fla.; Shoppes of Citrus Park, Tampa, Fla.; New Tampa Center, Tampa; and Legacy Place Shopping Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
"Just in time for the holidays, customers can find ways to save time on planning parties and family gatherings," said Media and Community Relations Manager Dwaine Stevens. "Putting party planning at their fingertips on the Web makes it easy for customers to plan at their leisure."
