Publix Brings Families Back to the Dinner Table

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 31, 2007 — Publix Super Markets, Inc. launches the Apron's Make-Ahead Meals program asking customers to give just two hours of preparation time and receive 12 meals while spending less overall time in the kitchen. To participate in one of the two-hour meal assembly sessions, customers may register online at www.publixmakemeals.com. While there, they'll learn how the program works, browse the month's menu selections and schedule and prepay for their sessions.

Apron's Make-Ahead Meals offers customers the option of preparing their own high- quality meals using Publix ingredients and recipes. Each month 14 different meal selections are available and each meal selection serves 4 to 6 people. Meal packages are available in six ($119.99), eight ($144.99) or 12 ($199.99) meal options. During their session, customers will visit various meal assembly stations finding the ready-to-cook ingredients necessary to build their meals. The meals are then packaged and placed in a refrigerator until their session is complete. Each meal has full cooking instructions attached.

Customers can have the confidence that our Apron's chefs created our Make-Ahead Meals based on quality, freshness and flavor profiles."

For those customers who are time constrained, Publix offers the Apron's Make-Ahead Meals To Go program. With this option, customers can purchase preassembled meals for an additional fee through www.publixmakemeals.com. Publix will do all the work, allowing customers to pick up the meals at their convenience.

A Publix staple since 2000, Apron's mission is to make cooking easier and more enjoyable by providing customers with Apron's Recipes, Apron's Simple Meals, Apron's Cooking School and now Apron's Make-Ahead Meals. A second, stand-alone version is planned for 2008 in Lithia, Fla.
