Publix to Offer Flu Vaccination Program

LAKELAND, Fl., Sept. 28, 2007 – Publix Super Markets Inc. will launch its flu clinic program in stores beginning:
Florida stores: Oct. 1 - Nov. 17, 2007
Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee stores: Oct. 1 - Dec. 13, 2007.
In Florida Pharmacies, Maxim Health Services will continue to serve as the Publix partner for the flu clinics, providing trained professionals to administer flu and pneumococcal shots.
Outside Florida, trained Publix Pharmacists will continue to conduct immunization clinics at store locations. While the federal government does not anticipate a flu vaccine shortage this year, depending on the vaccine supply, participating pharmacies will continue to offer vaccinations to customers through the remainder of flu season.
