Publix Names Incoming Atlanta Division Vice President
LAKELAND, Fla., Aug. 10, 2007 — Earlier this year, Vice President of the Atlanta Division Bob Moore announced his decision to retire Dec. 31, 2007. Upon Bob's retirement, Lakeland Division Regional Director Chuck Roskovich will become Vice President of the Atlanta Division.
Chuck began his Publix career in 1975 in Lauderhill, Fla., as a front-service clerk. Chuck spent much of his early career in the meat department. In 1992, he opened the first Atlanta Division store in Marietta, Ga., as meat manager. He became a store manager in 1993 and was promoted to district manager in 1995. Since 2000, he has been a regional director in the Lakeland Division for the southwest region.
"Chuck's career includes working in three of our four divisions. His varied experience will be a great asset for our Atlanta Division," said Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations.
Chuck and his wife, Cindy, have two children, Michael and Caitlyn. Chuck's community involvement is focused on United Way of Sarasota County, serving on their Board since 2001 and as campaign chair for the 2006-2007 annual campaign. He also serves as vice chair for the Success by 6 initiative.
