FDA Warns Consumers about Risk of Botulism Poisoning

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Castleberry's is warning consumers not to eat Castleberry canned food products due to possible botulism contamination. Botulism can be fatal.

Publix Super Markets is removing these products from sale immediately. If you are planning to return these items to a Publix store, please follow the CDC recommendations of placing the unopened can in a sealable bag, wrap two plastic bags around it and tape it tightly. Wash hands with soap and running water for at least 2 minutes.

We will gladly refund your money.

More can be found at http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2007/NEW01669.html  and www.castleberrys.com.
